Clarksdale Country Club is hosting the “Diamond Jim” Wilson Classic two-man scramble on May 29th & 30th, 2021. The field will consist of 72 teams. After play on Saturday, each team will be flighted.
Clarksdale Country Club is looking forward to hosting the event, but will be taking certain precautions due to the national health crisis. Instead of dining inside, the clubhouse will be serving lunches outside and having a crawfish boil.

The tournament, previously known at the “Graham Bramlett Golf Tournament”, has a rich history at the Clarksdale Country Club for the last 30 years. In May of 2019, the Board of Directors of the Clarksdale Country Club passed a resolution to name the tournament, beginning in 2020, The “Diamond Jim” Wilson Classic after the late James (Jimmy) P. Wilson.
The resolution reads:
“Whereas, Mr. James (Jimmy) P. Wilson, being a Certificate Holder of the Clarksdale Country Club for 43 years, an ardent supporter of golf, a relentless scorekeeper, and a master of gin; and
Whereas Mr. Wilson was the director of the Graham Bramlett golf tournament for over 30 years;
Now therefore, be it resolved that the Board of Directors of the Clarksdale Country Club, upon unanimous agreement, do hereby name the golf tournament beginning in the year of 2020,
The “Diamond Jim” Wilson Classic.
